it is a good system, it was a shame he broke up his car, but he got tired of spending the money and the time that he didn't have, i do still see him from time to time, am trying to get around to his place at the mo, but there is never enough time in the day.. regards ricky

have at last managed to locate and fit new cam followers and big end bearings, am trying the engine on 5w40 fully synthetic oil, so far have done about 20 miles, when warmed up and the manifold quietens down, its probably the quietest it has been in a long time, no knocking tapping or other strange noises.. just need to run it in (just a little bit anyway) so i'll have to be nice to it for a while, need to clean it up properly now ready for show season, and maybe another rolling road run to check on the emissions through the rev range, then the next big expense the fitting of the emerald management.. regards ricky

might have arranged to have the car featured, will be in feb, so need to get the car polished and tidied up, will be near silverstone, and possibly another feature in march with another mag, will confirm the mags nearer the time as i don't want to jinx it, this is a big step for me as i don't normally go in for features, don't like people knowing the ins and outs of my car.. however there are a couple of blogs out there now so what the hell in for a penny in for a pound... regards ricky

have had the bonnet and roof tidied up and polished (usual red fading) is nice and shiny now, so might have to watch out for the magpies  am rewiring the plugs for the central locking, the terminals are not making a good contact so new plugs... then a really good clean up ready for the 13th. "photo day" will be featured in "mg enthusiast" and i get a copy of the photos and video B) they will be posted on my photbucket... in amongst this i will stay in a b&b or travelodge on the sunday night for valentines with the missus which will keep her happy as well, so all good B) will let you know when the photos are available to view... regards ricky
