Just got myself a new toy

Its a 1989 205 Gti but has a 2.0 16v engine out of a Gti-6 and fitted with a trans-x diff ;D

As you can see from the pics it still looks like a std 1.6, It was a prof conversion costing just over £2600 inc the diff and engine

The car its self is near mint and the inside IS mint!

Not sure on plans yet? keep it looking std or strip it out and make it into a rally slag??

That's gorgeous, great find Stu. Keep it looking standard though, it'll be a great street sleeper.

The conversion inc the engine, diff, engine rebuild, and polly bushes fitted everywhere!! was £2800 and done in Feb this year, the car was a 3 owner mint 1.6 with FULL history and stacks of paper work was £2100 in Nov '09 plus about £1000 in other bits and bobs, total - £5900!!! for a '89 205!!!!!

I done a deal with my E36 318is, Well I done a straight swap  Peugeot is def worth more than the E36 a LOADS more fun,

The guy stuck a years mot and 6 months tax on it for me,

He said he wanted £2300 for the Gti and I said I wanted £2000  for the BMW and we settled on a straight swap :)

Hey.

Really love the lock of that.

That is far to clean to strip and rally slag mate.

If you want a rally slag buy my 1.6gti!

Well think Im going to get rid as its a real animal! to much of a track/race car for me.

Car really needs to be taken on a track and running a pub Im never going to get time! seems a shame having a track ready car with a £595 race diff and all the rest of it just sitting outside and doing a few miles a week.

Think Im going to sell or swap it for something a bit tamer!!

I was waiting for that stu  , thinking "how long will he keep that one - especially as it has a metal roof!"
At least you get to enjoy more cars than most of us, have you ever worked out how many you have been through?
